CARSTAR Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any additional questions or to schedule an appointment for your vehicle repair needs!

Q.

How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

A.

The repair time for your vehicle depends on the extent of the damage and the availability of parts. Small repairs might take a couple days, while more extensive damage could take several weeks. After an initial assessment, we will provide you with an estimated completion date and keep you updated throughout the repair process.  Our goal will be to always get you safely on the road as fast as we can.

Q.

Do I need to get multiple estimates before choosing your shop?

A.

In Ontario, you are not required to obtain multiple estimates before choosing a repair shop. However, it's often a good idea to get a few quotes to compare prices and services. We strive to offer competitive rates and high-quality service, and we will work with your insurance company to ensure your vehicle is repaired to the highest standards.  We hope that we make the experience so good that you will trust us as a one-stop shop.

Q.

Will you work directly with my insurance company?

A.

Yes, we work directly with most major insurance companies to streamline the repair process for you. We will handle the necessary paperwork, communicate with your insurer, and ensure that all repairs are approved and covered according to your policy.  Even if we are not a ‘preferred' facility for your insurance company, you have the right to have your repairs done where you want.

Q.

What type of parts will be used in the repair?

A.

We use a variety of parts for repairs, including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, aftermarket parts, and recycled parts. The choice of parts depends on your insurance policy and personal preference. We will discuss the options with you and ensure that only high-quality parts are used for the repair.  You have the right to have your vehicle returned to you in its pre-accident condition and we will stand by our workmanship to ensure that you are happy and confident in the repair.

Q.

Do you offer any warranties on the repairs?

A.

Yes, we offer a limited lifetime warranty on all our collision repair work. This warranty covers the workmanship and materials used in the repair for as long as you own the vehicle. If you experience any issues related to our repairs, simply bring your vehicle back, and we will make it right.  We are still striving to be perfect, but until we get there know that you have piece of mind that we are here for you.
